Reference Visits at Customers
See the machines in action at an existing customer — and ask questions to a peer who is not the salesperson.
What we do
- Guided visit to an existing 3DPS customer with a comparable production environment
- Conversation with operators and engineers who have been running the machine for months to years
- See how the machine actually runs, which parts are being produced, and what challenges arose
How the process unfolds
-
01
Match-making We pair you with a customer in a similar sector, with a similar machine type or challenge.
-
02
Schedule visit In coordination with the host customer — we align agenda and scope.
-
03
The visit On-site at the host customer: tour, machine in action, Q&A with operators and engineers, under NDA if needed.
-
04
Debrief After the visit we discuss what you saw, what questions remain, and what the next step is.
Who this service is for
- Decision-makers who want to underpin an investment decision with a real-world case
- Technical teams wanting to see how a machine behaves outside a demo environment
- Companies hesitating between technologies who want to hear how a peer made the choice
Real-world examples
Pump manufacturer visits MRO peer
A manufacturer of industrial pumps wanted to see Wire-LMD repairs in action. We paired them with an existing customer doing pump-bearing repairs for two years. During the visit they could ask questions to the operator and have peer-to-peer cost discussions.
Aerospace prospect sees defense application
An aerospace supplier wanted to know if Wire-LMD meets strict requirements. Visit to a defense customer producing certifiable parts — confidentially via NDA. Result: the prospect had the conviction needed to sign the quote.
Tooling manufacturer talks to peer about operators
Tooling company wanted to know how their existing operators could be trained for AM. Visit to a comparable tooling firm — direct conversations with operators who made the transition themselves. Their story removed the concerns.
Frequently asked questions
How do you convince customers to host me?
Our customers value the community around AM and are happy to help each other. We ask nicely, provide context about your situation, and always respect their answer. NDA if they wish.
Is a reference visit non-binding?
Yes. No purchase obligation, no hidden costs. Travel costs are at your expense, we arrange the visit itself at no charge as part of the sales journey.
What if no customer is available that exactly matches us?
We have a growing network in BENELUX and beyond. If no customer fits perfectly, we propose the closest match — or a double visit at two customers that together cover your situation.
May our competitor also use us as a reference?
Only if you wish. We always ask in advance and respect a "no". A host role is always voluntary and you decide what may be discussed.
